We have a selection of new cheeses available this week – including Duddleswell Sheep Cheese, Lyburn with Garlic and Nettle, Barbers Vintage Cheddar and Swiss Gruyere. There is also plenty of Black Bomber as well as the local favourites: Tunworth and Isle of Wight Blue cheese.
We will be running a free cheese and wine tasting on Thursday 26th November which will include many of our great local cheeses, as well as some Christmas classics and some unusual but extremely delicious cheeses to keep you on your toes. Do let us know if you would liike to attend as numbers are limited.
Duddleswell cheese is made in Sussex by the High Weald Dairy from pasteurized sheeps milk. It is well rounded and rich flavoured with a creamy texture and nutty finish.
With a number of Lyburn cheeses available in the farm shop, including the excellent Stoney Cross and Old Winchester – we have added the popular Lyburn with Garlic and Nettle – a multi-award winning cheese that derives from Lyburn Gold, but is fresher with the colour of the nettle and subtle flavouring the combines perfectly with the garlic and cheese.
