We now have a mighty selection of Auntie Val’s Marmalades and Jams – and I’m particularly partial to a bit of Ginger marmalade so I’m happy. There is also some Orange and Whiskey marmalade for that early morning hit! If you want something a little more sedate, then the Lemon and Elderflower is a winner, and the greengage jam is perfect as they are ripening on the tree as we speak.
Auntie Val and the team make all their marmalades and jams in small batches in West Sussex. They do a huge amount of community work and only employ people with special needs and disabilities – and were this year’s winners of the Observer Business Awards for Outstanding Work in the Community.
They have become increasingly well-known at home and abroad and you can now find them in such exalted places as the Food Hall of Harvey Nichols in Dubai. However, the Stansted Farm Shop is THE place to buy Auntie Val’s so come on by and grab a pot.
