We have two new cheeses this week: Oxford Blue cheese & Godminster Brie with Garlic and Chives.

With a view to overcome the lack of semi soft English cheese apart from Stilton, Oxford Cheese Company MD Baron Robert Pouget along with Steve Peace from Hartingdon creamery first produced Oxford Blue in 1994, wanting to produce a cheese to rival imports such as Dolcelatta, cambozola and Fourme D’Ambert.
Oxford blue is a full fat semi soft Stilton type cheese with a creamy texture and a sharp clean flavour.winning several gold medals at the British cheese awards.
This cheese has a salty and tangy flavour and would be perfectly paired with our 30 day dry aged sirloin salad and a chilled glass of our organic EKYUO Chardonnay.
Godminster organic Brie with garlic and chives.
There has been a dairy in Godminster for over 100 years, with Jersey cows roaming the Somerset hills that produce the outstanding organic milk for this delicious Brie.
Still handmade in small batches this cheese comes complete with a generous helping of organic garlic and chives to give it exceptional herby twist, just in time for this beautiful weather!
Both of these will be available to try in the farm shop on Friday and Saturday.
