Tommi Miers Cookery Demo & The Producer’s Market

Our Official Farm Shop Opening party excitement is building.  Not only will the wonderful Prue Leith be opening for us, but Thomasina Miers (chef, writer, TV presenter and founder of Wahaca) will be running a cookery demo using our local ingredients with a Mexican chilli boost.

We will also have a fantastic array of local producers in the courtyard offering tasters.  This is your opportunity to meet the people behind the product: the front line of food.  I think we are all guilty of taking our food for granted, and it’s only when you understand the time, effort and passion (a very overused word, but suitable in this instance) that goes into the food and drink that is brought to your table daily, that you can fully appreciate it.

Please do come and talk to our producers, find out the process, ingredients, time and dedication, and have a taste.

We will have the following producers:

Bolney Wine – Come and have a taste from one of our best established, and highly renowned West Sussex vineyards, with sparkling, red and white available to taste and buy.

Owtons – Owtons supply us with the majority of our beef, providing a consistent, well marbled, beef from their grass pastures north of Southampton.

Big Green Egg – The ultimate Charcoal BBQ, come and see it in operation and taste what all the fuss is about.

Winchester Distillery – Known for their Watercress gin, they have a fantastic range of gins to choose from.

Sussex Condiment Co  Our friends and neighbours at the Sussex Condiment Co make a wonderful selection of mayo, dressings and sauces, and their horseradish sauce cannot be beaten.

Montezuma’s Chocolate Chichester based Montezuma’s have a great range of chocolates to choose from, see which one you like best?

Sauerkraut Company – Petworth based and delcious, healthy Sauerkraut, now in five great flavours.

Emsworth Brewhouse – Our local brew, tasty, good looking and quaffable.
