Valentine’s Day Steak, Chocolate and Gin (including Gin Jam)

Valentine’s Day approaches, and while I’m sure most of you are romantically inclined on a weekly basis, for some of us, it’s an opportunity to step out of the routine, and surprise the other half with a well thought gift, a tasty meal or a large bottle of pink gin!

Luckily, we have the gin, local chocolates, and some seriously tasty rib eye and sirloin steaks ageing in the chiller as we speak. We also have Venison & Beef Wellingtons (pre-order only) and will have Oysters, Fresh Fish and an array of delicious local ingredients to satisfy the romantics this Valentine’s Day.

Pinkster Gin looks the part – gloriously pink, it has cocktail written all over it. Luckily, there is a mighty list of cocktails on their website that should appeal to every occasion.  Their other product is the indulgent Gin Jam – made from fresh raspberries left over from the gin production.  This is the perfect way to kick start your day, and the gin jam can also be used as a cocktail ingredient.

50ml Pinkster

10ml lemon juice

Large spoon Gin Jam

Shaken and served over crushed ice.

Garnish with second spoon of Gin Jam and raspberries.
