Local Food Map at Stansted Park Farm Shop
Stansted Park Farm Shop has sourced hundreds of products from more than 92 Sussex and Hampshire producers, to ensure that you get the full taste of the incredible food and drink available from the South Downs and Coast.
We have highlighted these producers with a wonderful hand drawn local food map that takes pride of place along one wall of the farm shop. The map, drawn by local cartoonist Guy Venables, has each producer numbered in relation to the Stansted Farm Shop. Customers often point to where they live and can then find out who their local food and producers are. Throughout the shop we have highlighted which producers are local with a sign that corresponds to the wall map.
There is a huge range of produce available, with all our meat and game coming direct from Hampshire and Sussex farms with the exception of chicken (Creedy Carver in Devon) and ham and bacon (from Wiltshire’s Sandridge Farmhouse). With whole carcass butchery, we can guarantee the origin, welfare and breed of our grass-fed meat to ensure the finest quality beef, lamb, pork and game.
Our deli counter boasts over 20 Sussex and Hampshire cheeses, including the wonderful Tunworth and Isle of Wight Blue, as well as cheeses from the High Wield Dairy, Alsop & Walker, Lyburn Cheese, Bookham and Goodwood cheese makers. We make a superb selection of food to go, including Scotch eggs, pies and our famous selection of sausage rolls such as BBQ pork, using pork shoulder that has been slow cooked over charcoal for 6 hours then fully sauced and wrapped in homemade pastry. We have our own ham, smoked venison and cold meat meat available by the slice, brownies, flapjacks and weekly specials.
The variety of local produce throughout the shop is remarkable, from Gingerbread made in Horsham from a 200 year old recipe, through to Petworth Kimchi. With oils, vinegars, jams, chutneys, sauces, rubs and more all produced within 30 miles of the Farm Shop. We have a wide range of seasonal fruit and veg that is often delivered direct off the farm, including asparagus, tomatoes and watercress as well as foraged hedgerow mushrooms and berries from the estate.
The gin revolution is in full swing, with 4 different gin producers based within 8 miles of the shop. With sloe gins, vodkas, beers and wines are all made along the South Downs, and they make excellent presents.

Supporting local producers boosts the local economy, protects the South Downs landscape, reduces food miles and offers customers traceability back to the farmers, fishermen and food producers so they can be reassured by the knowledge, quality, provenance and welfare that has gone into producing their food.
