We have a load of Halloween Pumpkins delivered directly from Charlie Foot’s farm in Chidham, ready for half-term Halloween. They are available from £2 each. We will be kicking off half term with an apple day at the farm shop – with cider tasting from the excellent Meon Valley Cider, as well as toffee apples and apple turnvoers available from the kitchen. At the same time, we will have a selection of apples from the Stansted Orchard to try out, and you can have a turn with the apple press to enjoy some freshly squeezed apple juice.
Don’t forget to join in the fun at Stansted with the Haunted Maze and Beauty and the Beast at the Enchanted Mansion on 26, 27 & 28th October.
We have a range of Halloween chocolates and treats for the kids, while the Garlic Farm does a great line of Vampire deterring sauces and salsas. In the deli you will find that the pitch black Charcaol Cheddar and the bright orange Harlech Cheese look amazing on a Halloween themed cheese board, and they taste fantastic as well.
If you are doing a bit of mass catering this half term, then a gammon is ideal for keeping everyone happy. There’s a simple recipe here to get you started.
We are also taking Thanksgiving Turkey orders (and Christmas if you are organized). Our turkeys are exceptionally tasty, high welfare, free range bronze and come boxed and oven ready with excellent recipes.
