We have stocked Silly Moo cider for a long time, but they have just brought out a new line: Wild Ferment that is made with wild yeast and is unfiltered, providing a seriously apple tasting cider. Gavin described his Wild Ferment as
“delicious apple taste, that’s not too sweet and very refreshing and drinkable”
Available in 330ml cans at £2.65 – this is a perfect summer cider from Trenchmore Farm. 5% abv and naturally cloudy as it’s left unfiltered before packaging.
Their other Silly Moo cider is also very good, with 2 gold stars at the Great Taste Awards.
Goodwood now have three beers to enjoy, with the latest being Lucky Leap, an American Pale Ale created from the story of the legendary Kansas City racer, Masten Gregory, who, while approaching Woodcote Corner in the 1959 TT, detected a complete absence of the brakes and stood up in the cockpit of his car, jumped and soared through the air before impact. This citrusy and hoppy American Pale Ale is perfectly paired with beef. Includes Pilgrim and Cascade hops.
St Simon is Goodwood’s excellent lager. The tale of St. Simon, a light-footed racehorse so determined, he won the 1883 Goodwood Cup by over 20 lengths. Yet despite his win, he kept on running until he was out of sight, over the top of the Trundle. This light and lively Lager is best paired alongside rare breed pork. Includes Pilgrim hops.
Grogger is a Pale Ale. Grogger was a Boxer dog. When his owner, the Farnham Flyer, would drink a pint to celebrate finishing a race, Grogger would famously steal a sip from his glass. An aromatic and malty Pale Ale, perfectly paired with Goodwood lamb. Includes Pilgrim and Golding hops.
