There is always something going on at Stansted, especially as lockdown eases, starting this weekend with the wonderful Stansted Garden Show.  There is also the Nostalgia Show, followed by Stansted Unlocked, which will be a great weekend that will give you the chance to explore all the changes that have been made to the house during lockdown.

While numbers of people to the estate have never been higher, it’s worth getting to know Stansted better off the beaten track.  One of the best ways to do that is to become a Friend of Stansted, with opportunities for guided forest walks, talks and events.

The Friends of Stansted Park (FOSP) aim to support the work of the Stansted Foundation who own and administer this beautiful estate. This support includes financial donations to capital projects and encouraging educational opportunities to children and adults alike.

The Friends also endeavour to raise the profile of the estate and a number of members act as House Stewards and Gardening Volunteers. I invite you to consider joining the Friends and become part of the “Stansted family”. In addition to a range of benefits and social events you can be assured of a warm welcome and the satisfaction of of being involved in supporting one of the finest estates in the South of England.
