Have you ever wanted to know the secrets of making the perfect Neopolitan style pizza?

This course is designed to take you through the process of making pizza from scratch, from the science of the perfect dough, to the balance of toppings to using your pizza oven for the pizza of your dreams.

Our pizza making course is structured to cater for beginners and intermediate level pizza enthusiasts.

To start with, we will focus on the basics of pizza dough, including flour and yeast selection and kneading techniques. You will learn how long to prove your dough, how to get it to the right consistency and ensure your dough rises properly before baking pizza perfection.

We will then work on how to get your pizza oven correctly set up ready for pizza making.  We will demonstrate using our traditional wood-fired oven, but will also use a portable gas-fired oven and talk through using a domestic oven and pizza stones. . You will learn the pros and cons of each method and how to achieve the best results.

Sauce & Toppings:
With the dough perfected and our base ready, the oven at the right temperature, it will be time to move onto the topping selection, including the sauces and cheeses most commonly used in pizza. We will also look at some of the not so commonly used combinations of cheese and toppings, both sweet and savoury.

Time to Eat:
Finally, you will use your new found skills to put together your own pizzas, experimenting with different toppings to suit your own personal taste, before cooking and eating.

Over the duration of the course, you will learn the ins and outs of pizza making. With the help of our knowledgeable instructors, you’ll conquer the art of pizza making and walk away with not only a new set of skills but also the confidence to make pizza at home with ease.
