I loved the packaging of the Boom Kitchen Curry Kits and thought I’d give them a try – they were voted the ‘best curry kit producer’ by the Independent, so definitely worth a trial run.  As you open up the pack, there are clear instructions and several different sachets of spices, and you will need to add the core ingredients.

There’s a bit of preparation involved, frying and adding ingredients as per the instructions, before finishing off with a sprinkling of chopped coriander which is more complicated and time-consuming than pouring out a ready-mix, but when we sat down to eat our chicken Tikka Tarka Massala, we loved our curry.  The flavours were strong, complex and rich, and was voted by 4 members of the family as the best curry we have had in a long time.  We are looking forward to trying the others.

There’s a choice of 7 different flavours, each with a suggested ingredients list, but I would highly recommend them. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to take a nice photo of the final dish, but it was well worth it.

Boom Kitchen was born in Devon, with the mission… To make scratch cooking their favourite curries fast, fun and free from artificial additives and preservatives.  They’ve done a cracking job.
