We had a great turnout last weekend for our producers’ party in the courtyard, with the rain stopping at 10.30 am and the sun making an appearance in the afternoon, much to everyone’s surprise.  A huge thank you to our customers, producers and our staff for putting on such a lovely day.  Vicky did an amazing job providing mutton & chicken tikka, sweet potato & chickpea curry, red lentil dahl, flatbreads & purple sprouting broccoli for 120 people – quite an outstanding effort.

The sushi tasters from Little Fish went down a storm, and Tom was busy introducing the incredible range of cheeses from West Sussex cheesemaker High Weald Dairy.  We had lovely local wine from Wyches Vineyard, delicious beer on tap from Powder Monkey, Stansted Estate Honey & comb and lots of bee-related products from Honey Bee Happy, healthy kefir and single origin Spanish olive oil from Susanna & Daughters and her family’s olive groves, and yummy flavoured oils, taralli and filled cannoli from Tenuta Marmorelle.

Mike Noble from Noble & Stace had a beautiful selection of hand-crafted Easter Eggs and chocolates, and we now have a lovely Easter range of locally made eggs, truffles and bars.

We hope you enjoyed the day and we will continue to have producers offering tasters and promotions this year.  Our next taster is on Saturday 23rd March where Silent Pool distillers will be showcasing their gins and vodkas.  Come and have a tipple!
