Mayfield Cheese is a delightful artisanal cheese produced in the village of Mayfield in East Sussex, England. The taste of Mayfield cheese is sweet, nutty and creamy. Its subtle tanginess is complemented by a gentle nuttiness, resulting in a cheese that is both versatile and enjoyable to eat. its interior contains eyes, which are naturally developed oval shaped holes. In fact, Mayfield is the first whole cheese in the UK with natural eyes, making this cheese even more unique. The texture is similar to an Emmental and makes for extremely creamy alpine cheese substitute.
This cheese ages for five to seven months and is made from cow’s milk.
