Parmigiano Reggiano has a hard pale-golden rind and a straw-coloured interior with a rich, sharp flavour. Its texture is firm and crumbly, making it perfect for grating over pasta, risotto, salads, or soups. The fame of this cheese has earned it protected designation of origin (PDO) status, safeguarding its traditional production methods and ensuring its uniqueness.
