Scallops (half dozen)




6 plump, juicy scallops make for a superb and easy to cook fish dish, with 3 scallops being an ideal starter portion.

Scallops go well with strong flavours and are often paired with chorizo, black pudding or bacon (I would recommend Sandridge smoked back bacon). However, they are also delicious with Asian flavours such as ginger, coriander, lemongrass and lime. They should be seared over a high heat leaving the middle almost raw.  If you over-cook them, they become tough and chewy.

Our fish are currently coming direct from Cornish dayboats, but we will be stocking fish from Fresh from the Boat when they have finished their new unit.
