Ruth has been trying Harlech Cheese on taster – covered in bright orange way, it’s a mature, creamy semi-soft cheddar speckled with fresh horseradish. Tangy and zesty with a nice edge of heat that tingles on the tongue, this has been the week’s best seller by miles. Harlech takes its name from the Welsh Warriors of the middle ages and is one of the new crop of delicious cheeses coming out of Wales.  The horseradish in Harlech makes it the perfect partner for beef – crumbled over one of our own 30 day dry aged sirloin steaks, perfect with a glass of organic Crai Nou Pinot Noir that is truly outstanding wine.

Sussex Camembert is a creamy, mushroom earthy tasting cheese with a natural white edible rind. Perfect for cheese boards and baking. This cows milk cheese will continue maturing in a fridge fur up to seven weeks becoming softer and stronger.  Based in East Sussex, the Sussex Camembert from Alsop & Walker won two stars at the Great Taste Awards.

They also make a delicious, creamy, grass tasting Sussex Brie that is milder and creamier than the Camembert – delicate but scrummy.

On top of all these, we have Stinking Bishop, Barkham Blue, Colston Bassett and many other wonderful cheeses.
